To reach the Railroad/Pleasant Springs Cemetery, from Collinwood, Tennessee travel south on Tennessee Highway 13 for 12 miles. Turn left (east) onto CO. Rd. 227 and go about 160 yards and turn left onto the entrance to the church and cemetery.

 

The Railroad Cemetery is located in eastern Wayne County, Tennessee.  It lies adjacent to the Railroad Methodist Church. Previously, the church owned and controlled the business of the cemetery. At present, it is overseen by a board of directors that control burials, maintenance and other business. Mr. Warren House, born in 1828 gave the original land for burials. Mrs. Florence Olive, born in 1878 gave more land for expansion. The board contracts the mowing and other maintenance of the cemetery. The annual decoration day at Railroad/Pleasant Springs Cemetery is the 4th Sunday in May.
